“Just gimme indie rock!”, it is one of my favourite phrases from a SeBaDoh song. I can shout it every day, and the song itself was one of the standards in my dj-sets, preferably played directly after the opening-act of the night. Because, let’s be honest, all you need is a decent amount of indie rock, every day and nothing else. And that’s where [V] comes in, or better yet; where Joep van Son – the person behind [V] and an indie rock god in an indie rock atheist country – comes in. Whatever he does is indie rock golden, be it Nikoo, The Sugarettes, The Very Sexuals or this here [V]; it is worth that one great SeBaDoh-anthem: “Just gimme Joep van Son!“.
